Q: What are the payment methods for my water bill?

A:  The District accepts cash, check, MasterCard and Visa as forms of payment. We also
      offer Bank Draft, an easy option of having your payment automatically drafted from your
      checking or savings account.
Q:  How do I sign up for the Bank Draft Program?

Q:  What if I have a water or sewer problem after normal business hours?

A:  Please call 843-546-8408 and our answering service will page on-call personnel who
      will promptly contact you.
Q: What do I need to do to transfer an existing account to my name?

A: When purchasing or renting a home the water/sewer service must be transferred to
     the new owners/renters name. An application for service must be filled out and transfer
     fees paid. Applications can be obtained from either of our offices. Applications can also
     be downloaded from the "Forms" page.

Q: What are the fees for transferring an account to my name?

A: When purchasing - $50.00 deposit and $45.00 service charge for a total of $95.00.
     When renting - $100 deposit and $45.00 service charge for a total of $145.00.

Q: Why is my bill higher than usual?

A: There can be several reasons why your bill may be higher. Here is a checklist of
     reasons that may helpful in determining why:

     >Have you noticed a faucet leak, a pipe leak or a toilet leak?
     >Have you been watering your lawn or garden?
     >Is this a rental property? If so, how many people live in the house or been visiting?
     >Have you installed a new washer, dishwasher, hot water heater or water filtration
       system?

Q: What if a leak has caused my bill to be higher? What should I do?

A: If you have a water and sewer account, all the water that is registered on your water
     meter will be charged water volume and sewer volume. Simply put, you will be charged
     sewer on any water leak that you have. If you have a leak please repair it. Keep all
     receipts for parts and/or plumbers. Once the leak is repaired write a short informal note
     telling us about the leak. Attach a copy of all repair receipts to your note and send it to 
     us. Your account and your note will be reviewed for a possible adjustment. If you need
